Do you charge by the hour?
No. You buy an agreed outcome at a fixed price, priced in Features, never hours or headcount.
What counts as a Feature?
A Feature is a complete, business-ready capability, not a single task. Each one bundles several user stories and tasks, UX, frontend, backend, workflow automations and tests, that are built, tested and demonstrated together. You see them on a named list and can strike any before you approve, so a ~15-Feature Proof is a focused working product, and ~100 Features is a full first release.
Is it just AI, or are there people behind it?
Every pack is expert-led. A lean core of accountable Softermii engineers owns the architecture and reviews everything that carries real risk, directing the Softermii APEX engine to produce and verify volume.
What if the work takes longer than you estimated?
That is on us. We absorb our own underestimates; the price you approved does not move.
Is a 50% deposit a red flag?
On a short pack the deposit is the schedule commitment that reserves your slot. Your protection is the fixed price, the warranty, and the fact that you own every line, not a payment holdback.
How does the payment schedule work?
We agree the schedule with you on the call. As a guide: Proof is 100% in advance; Build is 50% to start and 50% on completion; and Scale is 30% to start, 40% at the midpoint and 30% on completion. Invoices are Net 15.
Do I actually own the code?
Yes, outright, on payment, however it was produced. Assignment, non-assertion, exclusivity and an IP indemnity. No licence back to us.
What about ongoing model and infrastructure running costs?
Estimated in your offer before you commit, so there is no surprise run-cost after launch.
What is not included?
Third-party service fees and licences, and anything outside the agreed Feature list. Your offer names the exclusions explicitly.
Is my code or data used to train AI?
No. Anthropic Claude under commercial terms with a zero-retention posture; neither Softermii nor its providers train on your code or data.
When is Softermii APEX not the right fit?
If you have a strong in-house team and a stable roadmap, hire. If your scope changes weekly by design, buy hours. If you want to validate a rough idea this weekend, use a builder tool, genuinely. Softermii APEX is for the case in between: you know the outcome you need, you want it built properly and owned by you, and you want the price fixed before you commit.
